宿泊約款・利用規則
宿泊約款
適用範囲
- (第1条)宿坊が宿泊客との聞で締結する宿泊契約及びこれに関連する契約は、この約款の定めるところによるものとし、この約款に定めのない事項については、法令又は一般に確立された慣習によるものとします。
- 2. 宿坊が、法令及び償習に反しない範囲で特約に応じたときは、前項の規定にかかわらず、その特約が優先するものとします。
宿泊契約の申込み
- (第2条)宿坊に宿泊契約の申込みをしようとする者は、次の事項を宿坊に申し出ていただきます。
(1)宿泊者名
(2)宿泊日及び到着予定時刻
(3)宿泊料金(原則として別表1の基本宿泊料による)
(4)その他宿坊が必要と認める事項 - 2. 宿泊客が、宿泊中に前項2号の宿泊日を超えて宿泊の継続を申し入れた場合、宿坊は、その申し出がなされた時点で新たな宿泊契約の申込みがあったものとして処理します。
宿泊契約の成立等
- (第3条)宿泊契約は、宿坊が前条の申込みを承諾したときに成立するものとします。ただし、宿坊が承諾をしなかったことを証明したときは、この限りではありません。
- 2. 前項の規定により宿泊契約が成立したときは、宿泊期間(3日を越えるときは3日間)の基本宿泊料を限度として宿坊が定める申込金を、宿坊が指定する日までに、お支払いいただきます。
- 3. 申込金は、まず、宿泊客が最終的に支払うべき宿泊料金に充当し、第6条及び第四条の規定を適用する事態が生じたときは、違約金に次いで賠償金の順序で充当し、残額があれば、第12条の規定による料金の支払いの際に返還します。
- 4. 第2項の申込金を同項の規定により宿坊が指定した日までにお支払いいただけない場合は、宿泊契約はその効力を失うものとします。ただし、申込金の支払い期日を指定するに当たり、宿坊がその旨を宿泊客に告知した場合に限ります。
申込金の支払いを要しないこととする特約
- (第4条)前条第2項の規定にかかわらず、宿坊は、契約の成立後同項の申込金の支払いを要しないこととする特約に応じることがあります。
- 2. 宿泊契約の申込みを承諾するに当たり、宿坊が前条第2項の申込金の支払いを求めなかった場合及び当該申込金の支払期間を指定しなかった場合は、前項の特約に応じたものとして取り扱います。
宿泊契約締結の拒否
- (第5条)宿坊は、次に掲げる場合において、宿泊契約の締結に応じないことがあります。
- (1) 宿泊の申込みがこの約款によらないとき。
- (2)満室(員)により客室の余裕がないとき。
- (3)宿泊しようとする者が、宿泊に関し、法令の規定、公の秩序もしくは善良の風俗に反する行為をするおそれがあると認められるとき。
- (4)宿泊しようとする者が、伝染病者であると明らかに認められるとき。
- (5)宿泊に関し合理的な範囲を超える負担を求められたとき。
- (6)天災、施設の故障、その他やむを得ない事由により宿泊させることができないとき。
- (7)和歌山県旅館業法施行条例第3条の規定する場合に該当するとき。
宿泊客の契約解除権
- (第6条)宿泊客は、宿坊に申し出て、宿泊契約を解除することができます。
- 2. 宿坊は、宿泊客がその責めに帰すべき事由により宿泊契約の全部文は一部を解除した場合(第3条第2項の規定により宿坊が申込金の支払期日を指定してその支払いを求めた場合であって、その支払いより前に宿泊客が宿泊契約を解除したときを除きます。)は、別表第2に掲げるところにより、違約金を申し受けます。ただし、宿坊が第4条第1項の特約に応じた場合にあっては、その特約に応じるに当たって、宿泊客が宿泊契約を解除したときの違約金支払義務について、宿坊が宿泊客に告知したときに限ります。
- 3. 宿坊は、宿泊客が連絡をしないで宿泊当日の午後8時(あらかじめ到着予定時刻が明示されている場合は、その時刻を2時間経過した時刻)になっても到着しないときは、その宿泊契約は宿泊客により解除されたものとみなし処理することがあります。
宿坊の契約解除権
- (第7条)宿坊は、次に掲げる場合においては、宿泊契約を解除することがあります。
(1)宿泊客が宿泊に関し、法令の規定、公の秩序もしくは善良の風俗に反する行為をするおそれがあると認められるとき、又は同行為をしたと認められるとき。
(2)宿泊客が伝染病者であると明らかに認められるとき。
(3)宿泊に関し合理的な範囲を超える負担を求められたとき。
(4)天災等不可抗力に起因する事由により宿泊させることができないとき。
(5)和歌山県旅館業法施行条例第3条の規定する場合に該当するとき。
(6)寝室での寝たばこ、消防用設備等に対するいたずら、その他宿坊が定める利用規則の禁止事項(火災予防上必要なものに限る。)に従わないとき。 - 2. 宿坊が前項の規定に基づいて宿泊契約を解除したときは、宿泊客が、いまだ提供を受けていない宿泊サービス等の料金はいただきません。
宿泊の登録
- (第8条)宿泊客は、宿泊当日、宿坊において、次の事項を登録していただきます。
(1)宿泊客の氏名・年令・性別・住所及び職業
(2)外国人にあっては、国籍・旅券番号・入国地及び入国年月日
(3)出発日及び出発予定時刻
(4)その他宿坊が必要と認める事項 - 2. 宿泊客が第12条の料金の支払いを、旅行小切手、宿泊券、クレジットカード等通貨に代わり得る方法により行おうとするときは、あらかじめ、前項の登録時にそれらを呈示していただきます。
客室の使用時間
- (第9条)宿泊客が宿坊の客室を使用できる時間は、午後3時から翌朝9時までとします。ただし、連続して宿泊する場合においては、到着日及び出発日を除き、終日使用することができます。
- 2. 宿坊は、前項の規定にかかわらず、同項に定める時間外の客室の使用に応じることがあります。この場合には次に掲げる追加料金を申し受けます。 (1)超過3時間までは、室料相当額の30%
(2)超過6時間までは、室料相当額の60%
(3)超過6時間以上は、室料相当額の100% - 3. 前項の室料相当額は、基本宿泊料の70%とします。
利用規則の遵守
(第10条)宿泊客は、宿坊内においては、宿坊が定めて宿坊に掲示した利用規則に従っていただきます。
営業時間
- (第11 条)宿坊の主な施設等の営業時間は備付けパンフレット、各所の掲示、等で御案内いたします。
- 2. 前項の時間は、必要やむを得ない場合には臨時に変更することがあります。その場合には、適当な方法をもってお知らせします。
料金の支払い
- (第12条)宿泊客が支払うべき宿泊料金等の内訳は、別表第1に掲げるところによります。
- 2. 前項の宿泊料金等の支払いは、通貨又は宿坊が認めた旅行小切手、宿泊券、クレジットカード、等これに代わり得る方法により、宿泊客の出発の際又は宿坊が請求した時、宿坊において行っていただきます。
- 3. 宿坊が宿泊客に客室を提供し、使用が可能になったのち、宿泊客が、任意に宿泊しなかった場合においても、宿泊料金は申し受けます。
宿坊の責任
- (第13条)宿坊は、宿泊契約及びこれに関連する契約の履行に当たり、文はそれらの不履行により宿泊客に損害を与えたときは、その損害を賠償します。ただし、それが宿坊の責めに帰すべき事由によるものでないときは、この限りではありません。
- 2. 宿坊は、万ーの火災等に対処するため、旅館賠償責任保険に加入しております。
契約した客室の提供ができないときの取扱い
- (第14条)宿坊は、宿泊客に契約した客室を提供できないときは、宿泊客の了解を得て、できる限り同一の条件による他の宿泊施設をあっ旋するものとします。
- 2. 宿坊は、前項の規定にかかわらず、他の宿、泊施設のあっ旋ができないときは、違約金相当額の補償料を宿泊客に支払い、その補償料は損害賠償額に充当します。ただし、客室が提供できないことについて、宿坊の責めに帰すべき事由がないときは、補償料を支払いません。
委託物等の取扱い
- (第15条)宿泊客が宿坊にお預けになった物品又は現金並びに貴重品について、滅失、設損等の損害が生じたときは、それが不可抗力である場合を除き、宿坊は、その損害を賠償します。ただし、現金及び貴重品については、宿坊がその種類及び価額の明告を求めた場合であって、宿泊客がそれを行わなかったときは、宿坊は15万円を限度としてその損害を賠償します。
- 2. 宿泊客が宿坊内にお持込みになった物品又は現金並びに貴重品であって、宿坊にお預けにならなかったものについて、宿坊の故意又は過失により滅失、設損等の損害が生じたときは、宿坊はその損害を賠償します。ただし、宿泊客からあらかじめ種類及び価額の明告のなかったものについては、宿坊に故意又は重大な過失がある場合を除き、5万円を限度として宿坊はその損害を賠償します。
宿泊客の手荷物又は携帯品の保管
- (第16条)宿泊客の手術物が、宿泊に先立って宿坊に到着した場合は、その到着前に宿坊が了解したときに限って責任をもって保管し、宿泊客が宿坊においてチェックインする際お渡しします。
- 2. 宿泊客がチェックアウトしたのち、宿泊客の手符物又は携帯品が宿坊に置き忘れられていた場合において、その所有者が判明したときは、宿坊は、当該所有者に連絡をするとともにその指示を求めるものとします。ただし、所有者の指示がない場合又は所有者が判明しないときは、発見日を含め7日間保管し、その後最寄りの警察署に届けます。
- 3. 前2項の場合における宿泊客の手荷物又は携帯品の保管についての宿坊の責任は、第1項の場合にあっては前条第1項の規定に、前項の場合にあっては同条第2項の規定に準ずるものとします。
駐車の責任
- (第17条)宿泊客が宿坊の駐車場をご利用になる場合、車両のキーの寄託の如何にかかわらず、宿坊は、場所をお貸しするものであって、車両の管理責任まで、負うもので、はありません。ただし、駐車場の管理に当たり、宿坊の故意又は過失によって損害をあたえたときは、その賠償の責めに任じます。
宿泊客の責任
- (第18条)宿泊客の故意文は過失により宿坊が損害を被ったときは、当該宿泊客は宿坊に対し、その損害を賠償していただきます。

(注) 1.% は、基本宿泊料に対する違約金の比率です。 2契約日数が短縮した場合は、その短縮日数にかかわりなく、1 自分(初日)の違約金を収受します。
宿泊客見舞金規程
- (第19条)当宿坊は、宿坊の宿泊客が宿坊宿泊中に傷害以外の事由により死亡した場合には、別に定める宿泊客見舞金規程に記載の事項を実施いたします。
宿泊客見舞金規程
(目的)
- (第1条)本規程は、宿泊客の死亡に際し、宿坊が弔意を表して給付する金品等に関し、必要な事項を定めたものです。
(死亡弔慰金等)
- (第2条)当宿坊は、宿坊の宿泊客が宿坊宿泊中に傷害以外の事由により死亡した場合に以下に揚げる事項を実施いたします。ただし、「宿坊宿泊中J とは、宿坊にチェックインしてからチェックアウトするまでの間とします。
- 1. 遺族に対して、死亡弔慰金を給付いたします。死亡弔慰金の金額は、死亡した宿泊客1名につき、10万円を限度とします。
- 2. 状況に応じ、死亡した宿泊客の葬儀に、宿坊の役員、従業員または宿坊が指定する代表者が出席いたします。
- 3. 状況に応じ、死亡した宿泊客の葬儀に宿坊より献花等を行います。
(給付の制限)
- (第3条)次のいずれかに該当する場合は、前条に揚げる事項を実施いたしません。
- 1.宿泊客の麻薬、あへん、大麻、または覚醒剤、シンナー等の使用によって死亡した場合
- 2.宿泊客の妊娠、出産、早産または流産が原因で死亡した場合
- 3.宿泊客の自殺行為によって死亡した場合
- 4.核燃料物質(使用済燃料を含みます。以下同様とします。)もしくは核燃料物質によって汚染された物(原子核分裂生成物を含みます。) の放射性、爆発性その他の有害な特性またはこれらの特性による事故が原因で、発症した疾病によって死亡した場合
- 5.前項以外の放射線照射または放射能汚染によって発症した疾病によって死亡した場合
- 6.細菌性食物中毒によって死亡した場合
(書類の提出)
- (第4条)死亡した宿泊客の遺族が本規程の定めるところに従って死亡弔慰金を受け取ろうとするときは、以下の書類を宿坊にご提出いただくものとします。
- 1. 所定の死亡弔慰金請求書
- 2. 医師の死亡診断書または死体検案書
- 3. 死亡した宿泊客と死亡弔慰金を受け取る方の関係を証明する書類
(保険会社との契約)
- (第5条)第2条に定める死亡弔慰金の支払等を確実にするため、その保全措置として、宿坊は死亡弔慰金等のすべてまたはその一部について、保険会社と保険契約を締結することがあります。
利用規則
快適なご宿泊をいただきますように、宿泊約款第10条の定めにある通り、下記の規則をお守りくださますようお願い致します。この規則をお守りいただけないときは、宿泊約款第7条により、ご宿泊契約及びこれに関連する契約を解除させていただく場合がございます。

客室及び館内各施設のご利用について
- 客室をご宿泊及びご飲食以外の目的でご利用されることは堅くお断り致します。
- 館内への許可のないご飲食物の持ち込み及び外部からの取り寄せはお断り致します。
- 訪問客とのご面会は休憩所にてお願い致します。
- 未成年者のご宿泊は、その保護者の許可がない場合お断りすることがございます。
- ご宿泊日数又はご宿泊人数を変更される場合は、前もって宿坊係員にご連絡をお願い致します。
- 長期のご宿泊契約により、賃借権、居住権等、借家法その他居住に関連する法律上の権利を発生するものではありません。
- 宿泊登録者以外の方のご宿泊は堅くお断り致します。
- お部屋にご到着の際、非常口の位置及び避難経路のご確認をお願い致します。万一、火災が発生した場合には、係員又は非常放送の指示に従って一番近い非常口から避難して下さい。
- 客室内及び廊下等、館内でのアイロン及びキャンドル使用、暖房用、炊事用などの火器の持ち込み使用は堅くお断り致します。
- 火災の原因となりやすい所での喫煙(寝たばこ、館内の歩行中)は堅くお断り致します。
- 1.5キロワット以上の電機製品をご使用にならないで下さい。
- 客室に来訪者があった場合は、ご確認下さい。不審者と思われる場合は、事務所にご連絡下さい。
- お子様の大浴場のご利用は、保護者同伴でお願い致します。
- 浴衣での本堂ご参拝はご遠慮下さい。
貴重品、お預り品について
- 現金、貴重品等は、あらかじめ種類及び価額を明示し事務所へお預け下さい。お預り期間は、宿泊期間内のみとさせていただきます。
- 宿坊内での遺失物の処理は、一定期間保管し、その後最寄りの警察署に届け出ます。

お支払い等について
- ご利用代金のお支払いは、現金または旅行小切手、宿泊券、クレジットカード、等、及び当宿坊の認めたそれに変わり得るものとさせていただきます。手形・小切手はお断り致します。
- ご到着時にお預り金を申し受けることがございますので予めご了承下さい。
- ご宿泊日数を延長なさる場合は、お勘定を前もってお支払いいただくことがございますので予めご了承下さい。
暴力団及び暴力団員、並びに公共の秩序に反する恐れのある場合について
- [暴力団員による不等な行為の防止等に関する法律」(平成4年3月1 日施行)による指定暴力団及び指定暴力団員等の当宿坊利用はご遠慮いただきます。(ご予約後、あるいはご利用中にその事実が判明した場合には、その時点でご利用をお断り致します。)
- 反社会団体及び反社会団体員(暴力団及び過激行動団体など及びその構成員)の当宿坊利用はご遠慮いただきます。(ご予約後、あるいはご利用中にその事実が判明した場合には、その時点でご利用をお断り致します。)
- 暴力、脅迫、恐喝、威圧的な不当要求及びこれに類する行為が認められる場合、直ちに当宿坊利用はご遠慮いただきます。また、かつて、同様な行為をされた方についてもご遠慮いただきます。
- 当宿坊を利用する方が心身耗弱、薬品等による事故喪失などご自身の安全確保が困難で、あったり、他のお客様に危険や恐怖感、不安感を及ぼす恐れがあると認められるときは、直ちにご利用をお断り致します。
- 館内及び客室内で大声、放歌及び喧騒な行為その他で他者に嫌悪感を与えたり、迷惑を及ぼしたり、又、賭博や公序良俗に反する行為のあった場合には、直ちにご利用をお断り致します。
- その他上記各事項に類する行為のあるときは、ご利用をお断り致します。
駐車場のご利用について
- 構内では、係員の誘導及び指示に従っていただきます。
- 駐車場の車内に貴重品及びその他の物品を留置しないで下さい。
- 2泊以上及び同等の駐車については、事務所又は、係員にその旨申し出て下さい。
宿坊内では他のお客様の迷惑になる下記の物の持ち込み、または行為はご遠慮下さい
- 館内外で許可なく告知物の配付や貼紙、物品の販売・展示等の行為は堅くお断り致します。
- 当宿坊の名称・住所の印刷や、建物・動産の全体あるいは一部の写真または模写した映像、その他商標・意匠等、当宿坊が所有する権利を許可なく使用することは堅くお断り致します。
- 館内外及び客室内の備品を所定の場所からみだりに移動したり、許可なく変更、加工しないで下さい。万一それら備品の紛失・破損等があった場合はその実費を弁済いただくことがあります。
- 廊下や休憩所等に所持品を放置なさらないで下さい。
- 館内に次のような物をお持ち込みにならないで下さい。
- a. 愛玩の動物、鳥類等
- b. 異臭を発するもの
- c. 鉄砲、万剣類等
- d. 発火または引火しやすい火薬・揮発油類等
- 宿坊の外観をそこなうような品物を窓にお掛けにならないで下さい。
- 窓から物品を投げないで下さい。

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ACCOMMODATION CONTRACTS
Scope of Application
Article 1
- Contracts for Accommodation and related agreements to be entered into between this Temple Ryokan and the Guest to be accommodated shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions. And any particulars not provided for herein shall be governed by laws and regulations or generally accepted practices.
- 2 In the αse when the Temple Ryokan has entered into a special contract with the Guest insofar as such special contract does not violate laws and regulations and generally accepted practices, notwithstanding the preceding Paragraph, the special contract shall take precedence over the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
Application for Accommodation Contracts
Article 2
- A Guest who intends to make an application for an Accommodation Contract with the Temple Ryokan shall notify the Temple Ryokan of the following particulars.
- (1) Name of the Guest(s);
- (2)Date of accommodation and estimated time of arrival;
- (3) Accommodation Charges (based, in principle, on the Basic Accommodation Charges listed in Attached Table No.1);
- (4) Other particulars deemed necessary by the Temple Ryokan.
- 2 In the case when the Guest requests, during his stay, extention of the accommodation beyond the date in Subparagraph (2) of the preceding Paragraph, it shall be regarded as an application for a new Accommodation Contract at the time such request is made.
Conclusion of Accommodation Contracts, etc.
Article 3
- A Contract for Accommodation shall be deemed to have been concluded when the Temple Ryokan has duly accepted the application as stipulated in the preceding Article. However, the same shall not apply when ti has been proved that the Temple Ryokan has not accepted the application.
- 2 When a Contract for Accommodation has been concluded in accordance with the provisions of the preceding Paragraph, the Guest is requested to pay an accommodation deposit fixed by the Temple Ryokan within the limits of Basic Accommodation Charges covering the Guest’s entire period of stay (3 days when the period of stay exceeds 3 days) by the date specified by the Temple Ryokan.
- 3 The deposit shall be first used for The Total Accommodation Charges to be paid by the Guest,then secondly for the cancellation charges under Article 6 and thirdly for the reparations under Article 18 if applicable,and the remainder, if any, shall be refunded at the time of the payment of the Accommodation Charges as stated in Article 12.
- 4 When the Guest has failed to pay the deposit by the date as stipulated in Paragraph 2 the Temple Ryokan shall treat the Accommodation Contract as invalid. However, the same shall apply only in the case when the Guest is thus informed by the Temple Ryokan when the period of payment of the deposit is specified.
Special Contracts Requiring No Accommodation Deposit
Article 4
- Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraph 2 of the preceding Article, the Temple Ryokan may enter into a special contract requiring no accommodation deposit after the Contract has been concluded as stipulated in the same Paragraph.
- 2 In the case when the Temple Ryokan has not requested the payment of the deposit as stipulated in Paragraph 2 of the preceding Article and has not specified the date of the payment of the deposit at the time the application for an Accommodation Contract has been accepted, it shall be costrued that the Temple Ryokan has accepted a special contract prescribed in the preceding Paragraph.
Refusal of Accommodation Con廿acts
Article 5
- The Temple Ryokan may not accept the conclusion of an Accommodation Contract under any of the following cases:
- (1) When the application for accommodation does not conform with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions;
- (2) When the Temple Ryokan is fully booked and no room is available;
- (3) When the Guest seeking accommodation is deemed liable to conduct himself in a manner that will contravene the laws or act against the public order or good morals in regard to his accommodation;
- (4) When the Guest seeking accommodation can be clearly detected as carrying an infectious disease;
- (5) When the Temple Ryokan is requested to assume an unreasonable burden in regard to his accommodation;
- (6) When the Temple Ryokan is unable to provide accommodation due to natural calamities, disfunction of the facilities and other unavoidable causes; or
- (7) When the provisions of Article 3 of Wakayama Prefectural Ordinance are applicable.
Right to Cancel Accommodation Contracts by the Guest
Article6
- The Guest is entitled to cancel the Accommodation Contract by so notifying the Temple Ryokan.
- 2 In the case when the Guest has cancelled the Accommodation Contract in whole or in part due to causes for which the Guest is liable (except in the case when the Temple Ryokan has requested the payment of the deposit during the specified period as prescribed in Paragraph 2 of Article 3 and the Guest has cancelled before the payment), the Guest shall pay cancellation charges as listed in attached Table. No.2, However, in the case when asp ecial contract as prescribed in Paragraph 1of Article 4h as been concluded;,the same shall apply only when the Guest is informed of the obligation of the payment of the cancellation charges in case of cancellation by the Guest.
- 3 In the case when the Guest does not appear by 8:00 p.m. of the accommodation date (2 hours after the expected time of arrival if the Temple Ryokan is notified of it) without an advance notice. the Temple Ryokan may regard the Accommodation Contract as being cancelled by the Guest.
Right to Cancel Accommodation Contracts by the Temple Ryokan
Article 7
- The Temple Ryokan may cancel the Accommodation Contract under any of the following cases:
- (1) When the Guest is deemed liable to conduct and has conducted himself in a manner that will contravene the laws or act against the public order or good morals in regard to his accommodation;
- (2) When the Guest can be clearly detected as carrying an infectious disease:
- (3) When the Temple Ryokan is requested to assume an unreasonable burden in regard to his accommodation;
- (4) When the Temple Ryokan is unable to provide accommodation due to natural calamities and other causes of force majeure;
- (5) When the provisions of Article 3 of Wakayama Prefectural Ordinance are applicable;
- (6) When the Guest does not observe prohibited actions such as smoking in bed, mischief to the fire fighting facilities and other prohibitions of the Use Regulations stipulated by the Temple Ryokan (restricted to particulars deemed necessary in order to avoid the causing fires).
- 2 In the case when the Temple Ryokan has cancelled the Accommodation Contract in accordance with the preceding Paragraph, the Temple Ryokan shall not be entitled to charge the Guest for any of the services in the future during the contractual period which he not received.
Registration
Article 8
- The Guest shall register the following particulars at the Temple Ryokan on the day of accommodation:
- (1) Name, age, sex, address and occupation of the Guest(s);
- (2) For non-Japanese: nationality, passport number, port and date of entry in Japan;
- (3) Date and estimated time of departure; and
- (4) Other particulars deemed necessary by the Temple Ryokan
- 2 In the case when the Guest intends to pay his Accommodation Charges prescribed in Article 12 by any means other than Japanese currency, such as traveler’s cheques, coupons or credit cards, these credentials shall be shown in advance at the time of the registration prescribed in the preceding Paragraph.
Occupancy Hours of Guest Rooms
Article 9
- The Guest is entitled to occupy the contracted guest room of the Temple Ryokan from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00a.m the next morning. However,in the case when the Guest is accommodated continuously, the Guest may occupy it all day long, except for the days of arrival and departure.
- 2 The Temple Ryokan may, notwithstanding the provisions prescribed in thee preceding Paragraph, permit the Guest to occupy the room beyond the time prescribed in the same Paragraph. In this scase, extra charges shall be incurred as follows;
- (1) Up to 3 hours: 30% of the equivalent in the sum to the room charge;
- (2) Up to 6hours: 60% of the equivalent in the sum to the room charge;
- (3) More than 6 hours: 100% of the equivalent in the sum to the room charge;
- 3 The equivalent in the sum to the room charge prescribed in the precedmg Paragraph shall be 70% of the Basic Accommodation Charges.
Observance of Use Regulations
Article 10
- Thee Guest shall observe the Use Regulations established by the Temple Ryokan, which are posted within the premises of the Temple Ryokan.
Business Hours
Article 11
- The business hours of the main facilities, etc. of the Temple Ryokan are as follows, and those of other facilities, etc. shall be notified in detail by brochures as provided, notices displayed in each place and others.
- 2 The business hours specified in the preceding Paragraph are subject to temporary changes due to unavoidable causes of the Temple Ryokan. In such a case, the Guest shall be informed by appropriate means.
Payment of Accommodation Charges
Article 12
- The breakdown and method of calculation of the Accommodation Charges, etc. that the Guest shall pay is listed in attached Table No.1.
- 2 Accommodation Charges, etc. as stated in the preceding Paragraph shall be paid with Japanese currency or by any means other than Japanese currency such as traveler’s checks coupons or credit cards recognized by the Temple Ryokan at the Temple Ryokan at the time of the departure of the Guest or upon request by the Temple Ryokan.
- 3 Accommodation Charges shall be paid even if the Guest voluntarily does not utilize the accommodation facilities which have been provided for him by the Temple Ryokan and are at his disposal.
Liabilities of the Temple Ryokan
Article 13
- The Temple Ryokan shall compensate the Guest for the damage if the Temple Ryokan has caused such damage to the Guest in the fulfillment or the nonfulfillment of the Accommodation Contract and related agreements. However, the same shall not apply in cases when such damage has been caused due to reasons for which the Temple Ryokan is not liable.
- 2 The Temple Ryokan is covered by the Ryokan Liability Insurance in order to deal with unexpected fire and other disasters.
Handing When Unable to Provide Contracted Rooms
Article14
- The Temple Ryokan shall, when unable to provide contracted rooms, arrange accommodation of the same standard elsewhere for the Guest insofar as practicable with consent of the Guest.
- 2 When arrangement of other accommodation can not be made notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding Paragraph, the Temple Ryokan shall pay the Guest a compensation fee equivalent to the cancellation charges and the compensation fee shall be applied to the reparations. However, when the Temple Ryokan cannot provide accommodation due to the causes for witch the Temple Ryokan is not liable, the Temple Ryokan shall not compensate the Guest.
Handling of Deposited Articles
Article15
- The Temple Ryokan shall compensate the Guest for the damage when loss, breakage or other damage is caused to the goods, cash or valuables deposited at the front desk by the Guest, except in the case when this has occurred due to causes of force majeure. However, for cash and valuables, when the Temple Ryokan has requested the Guest report its kind and value but the Guest has failed to so, the Temple Ryokan shall compensate the Guest within the limit of 150,000 yen.
- 2 The Temple Ryokan shall compensate the Guest for the damage when loss, breakage or other damage is caused, through intentional or negligent on the part of the Temple Ryokan to the goods, cash or valuables which are brought into the premises of the Temple Ryokan by the Guest but are not deposited at the Temple Ryokan. However, for articles of which the kind and value have not been reported in advance by the Guest, the Temple Ryokan shall compensate the Guest within the limit of 50,000 yen, except in the case of deliberate or serious error on the part fo Temple Ryokan.
Custody of Baggage and Belongings of the Guest
Article 16
- When the baggage of the Guest is brought into the Temple Ryokan before his arrival, the Temple Ryokan shall be liable to keep it only in the case when such a request has been accepted by the Temple Ryokan. the baggage shall be handed over to the Guest at the Temple Ryokan at the time of the check-in.
- 2 When the baggage or belongings of the Guest is found left after his checkout, and the ownership of the article is confirmed, the Temple Ryokan shall inform the owner of the article left and ask for further instructions. When no instruction is given to the Temple Ryokan by the owner or when the ownership is not confirmed, the Temple Ryokan shall keep the article for 7 days including the day it is found, and after this period, the Temple Ryokan shall turn it over to the nearest police station.
- 3 The Temple Ryokan liability in regard to the custody of the Guest’s baggage and belongings in the case of the preceding two Paragraphs shall be assumed in accordance with the peovisions of Paragraph 1 of the preceding Article in the case of Paragraph 1, and with the provisions of Paragraph 2 of the same Article in the case of Paragraph 2.
Liability in Regard to Parking
Article 17
- The Temple Ryokan shall not be liable for the custody of the vehicle of the Guest when the Guest utilizes the parking lot within the premises of the Temple Ryokan, as ti shall be regarded that the Temple Ryokan simply offers the space for parking, whether the key of the vehicle has been deposited with the Temple Ryokan or not. However, the Temple Ryokan shall compensate the Guest for the damage caused through intention or negligence on the part of the Temple Ryokan in regard to the management of the parking lot.
Liability of the Guest
Article 18
- The Guest shall compensate the Temple Ryokan for the damage caused through intentional or negligence on the part of the Guest.

Provisions for Guest Solatium
Article 19
- If the Guest should die during his stay at the Temple Ryokan for any reason other than injury, the items described in the separately established Provisions for Guest Solatium shall be put into effect.
Provisions for Guest Solatium
Objectives
Article 1
- These Provisions establish the items required for conferring money and goods as expressions of sympathy on the part of Temple Ryokan when the death of a Guest occurs.
Condolence Money and Other Gifts
Article 2
- If a Guest should die during his stay at the Temple Ryokan for any reason other than injury, the provisions described below shall be put into effect. ”During the stay of a Guest” refers to the period of time from when the Guest checks in until he checks out.
- (1) Condolence money shall be paid to the victim’s family. The amount of the condolence money shall not exceed 100,000 yen for each deceased Guest.
- (2) Depending on circumstances, an offcial or employee of Temple Ryokan or a representative appointed by Temple Ryokan shall attend the funeral of the deceased Guest.
- (3) Depending on circumstances, Temple Ryokan shall provide a floral tribute at the funeral of the deceased Guest.
Limit of Benefits
Article 3
- The above-described provisions shall not be put into effect if any of the following applies.
- (1) If the cause of the Guest’s death is due to the use of drugs, opium, marijuana, or stimulant or thinner or other similar substance;
- (2) If the cause of the Guest’s death is related to pregnancy, childbirth, premature delivery, or miscarriage;
- (3) If the cause of the Guest’s death is suicide;
- (4) If the Guest dies from an illness that shows symptoms of radioactivity, explosivity, or other harmful property of nuclear fuel material (including spent fuel, pertains also to any subsequent mention) or material contaminated by nuclear fuel material (including materials formed by atomic fission), or symptoms that originate in an accident caused by such materials;
- (5) If the Guest dies from an illness that shows symptoms of irradiation or radioactive contamination besides those mentioned in the previous paragraph;
- (6) If the cause of the Guest’s death is bacterial food poisoning.
Submittal of Documents
Article 4
- Whe the bereaved family of the deceased Guest intends to accept the condolence money in accordance with the particulars established in these Provisions, the following documents shall be submitted to Temple Ryokan.
- (1) Prescribed Application for Condolence Money;
- (2) Doctor’s Certificate of Death or Postmortem Certiftcate;
- (3) Document verifying the identity, and relation to the deceased, of the person collecting the condolence money.
Contract with Insurance Company
Article 5
- Temple Ryokan has concluded a contract with insurance company as a means of preserving the condolence money and other gifts in whole or in part, in order to ensure that the condolence and other gifts will be provided as established in Article 2.
RULUS OF CODUCT
Using the Guest Rooms and Facilities
Article 1
- Guest rooms can not be used for any other purpose than accommodation and meals.
- 2 Unless permission has been specially granted , guests can not bring in any food or drinks, nor order them from outside.
- 3 Any visitors should be welcomed in the waiting room,no t the guest rooms.
- 4 Accommodation of guests under the age of 20 may be refused unless the guardian’s permission has been received.
- 5 Prior notification should be given to Temple staff in case of changes to the length of stay or number of guests staying.
- 6 Right of lease,ri ght of residence, rented house law or any other legal rights of residence do not apply, even though the guests may have a long-tern accommodation contract.
- 7 Any persons not registered for accommodation will not be permitted to stay at the temple.
- 8 On arriving at the guest room, guests are expected to confirm the location of emergency exits, as well as the evacuation routs. In case of fire, evacuate via the nearest emergency exit according to staff instructions or the emergency announcement.
- 9 Items such as irons, candles, heaters, or cooking appliances, can not be brought into or used in the guest rooms.
- 10 Smoking is not permitted in bed or while walking around in the Temple buildings.
- 11 Electric appliances of more than 1.5 Kw can not be used.
- 12 If a stranger is noticed entering a guest room without permission or acting in a suspicious manner. please confirm their identity or inform the office.
- 13 Children may only use the communal bath at the same time as their guardians.
- 14 Guests are requested to refrain from entering the main Temple hall, where prayers take place, while wearing a yukata (japanese bathrobe)
Where to Deposit Valuables
Article 2
- Guests are recommended to leave any cash or valuables with the office. Before depositing valuables, however, guests wil be required to fill in a form describing the items and amount of money to be deposited. Deposit is only possible for the duration of the guest’s stay.
- 2 Any items left behind in the guest rooms will be kept for a certain period of time and then handed in to the nearest police station. (Refer to Article 16 in the Terms and Conditions of Accommodation.)
Payment of Fees
Article 3
- Accommodation fees may be paid in cash, or by traveler’s checks, accommodation coupons, credit cards or any other alternative methods accepted by the Temple. Personal checks and bank drafts, however, are not accepted.
- 2 A deposit may be requested at the time of arrival.
- 3 When an extension of accommodation is requested, guests may be required to pay accommodation fees in advance.
Japanese Gangs and Their Members/Unacceptable Behavior
Article 4
- Under the “Provisions to prevent behavior contravening the laws or act aagainst public order or good manners” enforced on March 1st, 1992,the Temple can not accept any reservations from members of Japanese gangs. (If a guest is found to be am ember of a Japanese gang after a reservation is taken or during accommodation,the guest will be asked to leave immediately.)
- 2 The accommodation of radical right-wing groups and their accompanying members is also not permitted. (If a guest is found to be a member of a radical right-wing group after a reservation is taken or during accommodation, the guest will be asked to leave immediately.)
- 3 If a guest is found to show or have a past record of violence, threatening behavior, intimidation, making illegal demands or any similar behavior, their request for accommodation will not be accepted or they will be asked to leave.
- 4 If a quest is seen to be under the influence of drugs and unaware of his/her own safety, or other guests are made to feel uneasy, fearful or endangered, their accommodation will be canceled immediately.
- 5 If a guest offends or disturbs any other guests by speaking or singing loudly or behaving in a s廿ange way in the guest rooms and buildings, or is involved with gambling or any other unacceptable public behavior, their accommodation will be canceled immediately.
- 6 Cancellation of accommodation will take place in all the above cases of unacceptable guest behavior.
Parking Area Article 5
- Guests are requested to follow the directions of the Temple staff when parking.
- 2 Do not leave valuables in parked cars.
- 3 Notify the staff or reservations office if staying more than two nights.
Goods Not to be Brought into the Guest Room Building and General Rules of Behavior
Article 6
- Guests can not distribute or post up any notices, or sell and display any goods in the building,wi thout the Temples’s permission.
- 2 Printed materials of the Guest Room Building, pictures or films of the building and estate, whether in whole or part, and other rights, such as the trademark and design, owned by the Temple can not be used without pennission.
- 3 Guests can not move any of the equipment, placed in the guest rooms and building, from its original place without permission. If any such equipment is lost or broken, guests are liable for payment of any damages.
- 4 Do not leave personal items in the corridors or waiting room.
- 5 The following items may not be brought into the building.
- a. Pets or animals of any kind.
- b. Goods with offensive odor.
- c. Guns, swords, or weapons of any type.
- d. Flammable items such as gunpowder and volatile oils.
- 6 Do not hang items out the windows as this will affect the appearance of the building.
- 7 Do not throw things out the window.
